THE OFJ WEEKLY - Week 10 Recap
Real progress. No shortcuts. One week at a time.
THE WEEK THAT WAS…
Sunday August 10 through Saturday August 16

Starting weight: 268.2
Ending weight: 265.8
Change: –2.4 lbs
Total steps: 95,606
Average per day: ~13,658
Calories: My weak spot last week. I went over too many days. The scale still moved, but it could’ve been more — a reminder that tightening this up matters.
Total Loss since June 9: –20.6 lbs
This wasn’t a perfect week — but it was a meaningful one.
I battled through travel, rough patches, and a couple of stumbles… and still crossed the 20-pound mark since restarting June 9.
That milestone is proof that showing up, even imperfectly, still adds up. Brick by brick — this works.
THE UPCOMING WEEK…

Sunday, August 17 – Saturday, August 23
Step goal: 12,000+ per day (84K+ total)
Calories: Track every day — a couple of events will make this tricky, but the goal is to navigate them without drifting
Pushups/situps: ✅ Monday through Friday
Weekend rule: Step-only, but average still needs to hit 12K (short days can be made up)
Schedule highlights:
🛠 Customer training Tuesday
🍽 Dinners Wednesday & Thursday with co-workers
⛳ Customer golf event Thursday
🚗 Friday dinner with friends
👨👩👧 Saturday with my daughter and grandbabies
This week brings a packed schedule — travel, customer events, and a couple of nights out. The key isn’t chasing perfection; it’s preparing for the moments that could knock me off track.
The plan is simple:
Anchor 12K steps with morning walks
Pushups and situps Mon–Fri
Make smart choices at customer lunches and dinners
Adjust the other meals on days with “events” so the day stays balanced
The schedule may change, but the goals don’t. Show up, stick to the plan, and adjust as needed.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“The truth of the matter is that you always know the right thing to do. The hard part is doing it.”
— Normal Schwarzkopf, Jr.
We don’t usually lack answers — we lack action.
The steps, the food choices, the workouts… I know what the right move is almost every time.
The challenge is having the discipline to actually do it.
Knowing is easy. Doing is the hard part — and it’s also the part that changes everything.
Until next time,
