THE OFJ WEEKLY - Week 13 Recap
30 Pounds in 3 Months!!!Real progress. No shortcuts. One week at a time.
THE WEEK THAT WAS…
Sunday August 31 through Saturday September 6

Starting weight: 266.2
Ending weight: 257.1
Change: –9.1 lbs
Total steps: 92,359
Average per day: ~13,194
Calories: Under goal on every planned day; skipped tracking on Labor Day weekend (Sunday & Monday), but locked in for the next five days
Other: 1-day fast on Friday
Consistency: 13 weeks in a row
Milestone: Down 30 pounds in 3 months (10 lbs/month pace)
This was the week I crossed a big line. On Monday’s weigh-in, I was officially down over 30 pounds since June 9. That’s 10 pounds a month for three months straight.
The steps were steady, the calories were locked in after the holiday, and I nailed the goal! More than anything, I feel like I’m right where I need to be — not just with results, but with momentum.
THE UPCOMING WEEK…

Sunday, September 7 – Saturday, September 13
Step goal: 12,000+ per day (morning walks to stay ahead)
Calories: Track daily — Thursday (Beth’s birthday) and Friday (grandbaby’s birthday) will be flexible
Pushups/situps: ✅ Monday through Friday
Schedule highlights:
🎂 Thursday: Beth’s birthday dinner
🎉 Friday: Grandbaby’s birthday, overnight with family
🏈 Saturday: Football, friends, maybe a date night
I feel good and focused heading into this week. The social calendar is full — birthdays, family, and football — but the guardrails are in place. Morning walks, strength work, and tracking the “normal” days will keep me moving forward.
Goal: Another 10 pounds over the next month. If I stay steady, I’ll be at 40 pounds down in four months — right on pace.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“It is not the mountain that we conquer, but ourselves.”
— Sir Edmund Hillary
The scale is just the scoreboard. The real battle is with my own choices, my own excuses, and my own mindset.
Every walk, every logged meal, every rep is a small way of conquering myself. And if I keep doing that, the mountain takes care of itself.
Until next time,
