THE OFJ WEEKLY - Week 14 Recap
Real progress. No shortcuts. One week at a time.
THE WEEK THAT WAS…
Sunday September 7 through Saturday September 13

Starting weight: 257.1
Ending weight: 259.5
Change: +2.4 lbs
Total steps: 99,646
Average per day: ~14,235
Calories: Not awesome - went over on Tuesday and had events planned so I skipped Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
This week was a reminder of how easy it is to loosen up after a big milestone. On Monday I officially crossed the 30-lb mark since June 9 — three months of steady work averaging 10 pounds a month. That’s the kind of progress I used to only talk about, and now it’s real.
Did I relax a little after that? Absolutely. The social calendar was packed, calories weren’t locked in, and the scale ticked up a bit. But here’s the bigger truth: I’ve changed the trajectory. Hitting 30 pounds down isn’t just a number — it’s proof that the system works, even when the week isn’t perfect.
Steps were strong, strength work stayed consistent, and the scale held under 260. The celebration is earned — now it’s about keeping the fire lit for the next milestone.
I’m proud, but I’m not done.
THE UPCOMING WEEK…

Sunday, September 14 – Saturday, September 20
Step goal: 12,000+ per day (84K+ total)
Calories: Track every day — no skipped days this week
Pushups/situps: ✅ Monday through Friday
Schedule highlights:
🍽 Dinner with a co-worker Monday
📚 Class Tuesday
🛻 Travel through midweek, home by Thursday/Friday
👨👩👧 Babysitting grandkids this weekend
Nothing unusual is on the calendar, which means no excuses. This is the week to reset, get back on the straight and narrow, and rebuild momentum toward that next milestone.
The game plan:
Anchor mornings with walks to stay ahead on steps
Track calories daily, even when it’s messy
Keep pushups and situps locked in through Friday
The milestone last week proved I can do it. Now it’s about stacking another week to prove it wasn’t a fluke.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine.”
— Mike Murdock
The future isn’t built on milestones — it’s built on mornings. On the choices no one sees. On the routines that shape the days.
Every step logged, every meal tracked, every rep finished — that’s the real secret. The habits I build now are the future I’ll step into later.
Until next time,
