THE OFJ WEEKLY - Week 21 Recap

Real progress. No shortcuts. One week at a time.

THE WEEK THAT WAS…

Sunday, October 26 – Saturday, November 1

  • Starting weight: 259.0

  • Ending weight: 260.0

  • Change: +1.0 lb

  • Total steps: 81,681

  • Average per day: ~11,669

  • Pushups/Sit-ups:  Tuesday & Wednesday

  • Calories: Hit goal 3 days, over 4 days

Last week wasn’t great — but it wasn’t a total loss either. The steps were there most days, I got a few strength sessions in, and I didn’t completely fall off the map. It was messy, inconsistent, and heavy on work, but at least some of the framework stayed intact.

The scale ticked up a pound, which honestly feels about right. It’s been a stretch of long days, long drives, and too many meals grabbed on the go. This wasn’t a “growth” week — it was a survival week. And that’s okay. Sometimes the goal isn’t to win; it’s just to hang on and keep yourself from sliding backward too far.

THE UPCOMING WEEK…

Sunday, November 2 – Saturday, November 8

  • Calories: Don’t track — just stay mindful

  • Steps: No formal goal this week

  • Workouts: Skip push-ups/sit-ups — focus on finishing strong elsewhere

  • Schedule highlights:
    🚗 Sunday: Drive to Minnesota
✈️ Tuesday: Customers arrive — dinner event
🎯 Wednesday: Hunt with customers + evening cocktails
    🚗 Thursday: Drive home
👨‍👩‍👧 Friday: Pick up grandkids for the weekend

This week’s about endurance. Between work, travel, and wrapping up my final MBA class, I know perfection isn’t on the table — and that’s fine. The win is staying grounded, doing what I can, and not letting the chaos swallow me whole.

There will be time soon enough to reset and rebuild the structure. For now, it’s about finishing what’s in front of me and keeping my head in the game.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“All great achievements require time.”
— Maya Angelou

Progress doesn’t disappear just because the pace slows down. Some seasons are about building, others are about surviving. Both matter.

The trick is remembering that patience is part of discipline. As long as I keep showing up — even on the hard weeks — I’m still moving forward.

Until next time,
