THE OFJ WEEKLY - Week 24 Recap

Real progress. No shortcuts. One week at a time.

THE WEEK THAT WAS…

Sunday, November 16 – Saturday, November 22

  • Starting weight: 258.3

  • Ending weight: 260.5

  • Change: +2.2 lbs

  • Total steps: No 12K days

  • Pushups/Sit-ups:  None

  • Calories: Over several days

It was a rough one.
Honestly, it’s been a rough month.

I got sick again, never hit 12K steps, workouts didn’t happen, and calories slipped more than once. Between the hunt, the customer event, more travel, getting sick, and trying to bounce back, it’s been a long stretch of feeling off rhythm.

The bright spot:
I’m finally starting to feel better — not perfect, but better. Enough to start moving again, and enough to be realistic about the week ahead instead of beating myself up about the last one.

THE UPCOMING WEEK…

Sunday, November 23 – Saturday, November 29

This is Thanksgiving week, and the plan has to match real life.
Kids, grandbabies, cooking, decorating, gatherings — the whole deal.

This isn’t the week for perfection.
It is the week for structure where structure makes sense.

Here’s the plan:

  • 12,000 steps every day starting today

  • Push-ups & sit-ups Monday–Friday

  • Calories: Be good when it’s easy to be good; don’t stress when it isn’t

  • Mindset: Movement > Perfection, Presence > Pressure

This week’s calendar:

🦃 Sunday: Friendsgiving
🍽️ Monday: Dinner with friends
🛒 Tuesday: Thanksgiving shopping
👨‍🍳 Wednesday: Prep and cooking
🦃 Thursday: Thanksgiving — all day
🎄 Friday: Decorate the house; everyone arrives
🎉 Saturday: Christmas party
🏡 Sunday: Everyone heads home
📋 Work: Only the first couple days this week

It’s a full week. A loud week. A good week.

The goal isn’t to white-knuckle discipline. The goal is to bring movement into each day, keep some sense of routine, and enjoy the people I love without letting the wheels fall off.

Back to structure.
Back to movement.
Back to life.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.”
— Dolly Parton

This week is the reminder.
A messy November doesn’t define anything — but the moments with family, the food on the table, the laughter, the noise, the gratitude… those are the things that actually matter.

Make a life this week. The goals will still be there after the holiday.

Until next time,
